It was time to lean up for the summer and inspire my clients by example. I had been working with a strength coach over the winter and making great progress but as a personal trainer and weight loss coach myself, I know that 80% of weight loss results come from your food choices. I help clients with weight loss everyday and I wanted the same help just for me. After all, every good coach has a good coach.
Food choice has always been my personal weak link and although I have all the tips, tricks, tools, and insider info I could ever hope for, I never had someone watching me saying, “Great job, Jill!” or “Whoa, that was a lot of food, what happened there?” So it was time to put my own value as a weight loss coach to the test.
Two weeks in to the challenge, I lost my motivation. I was bored and over it. I didn’t care if my coach said I have to get re-focused. I didn’t care if she gave me lists of great foods to try or if I got “red marks” in my food journal. I used the same excuses my clients use with me,
“It was a hard week,”
“I’ll get back on track,”
“I just didn’t prepare” and the ever popular,
“Tomorrow’s THE day!”
