I live in Chicago. Here, as in most big cities, the food is Uh-mazing. Any hour of any day, we can have as much food of every ethnicity that we can imagine.
The other day, my friend asked me to go to Greek Town for dinner. My first thought was “No, it’s a New Year. I’m re-focused, re-newed, and ready for…” What? To say no to friends and socializing? I suppose I went on so many diets in the past that I was conditioned to knuckle down and restrict myself for the New Year.
I decided to go and remain focused on portion size. I’m not gonna lie, just having 1 slice of my favorite bread with 2 Tablespoons of tzatziki was a challenge but I stuck to my portion size guidelines and enjoyed a delicious Greek meal with my friend.
