happy woman after run 300x199 Turkey Day Damage Control in 4 Easy StepsHere are a few tips to bounce back from Turkey Day.  There’s a time to indulge and then there’s a time to get back on track.  It’s all part of life.  It’s what you do after the party that counts toward lasting weight loss.

1.  Drink Plenty of Water

Heal and cleanse your body with pure water.  Focus on drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water each day.  This can help you overcome cravings from sugar and alcohol.  If you add a bit of lemon, you will enhance the healing properties of water and help alkalize your body.

2.  Focus on Raw Fruits & Veggies

Another great way to help cleanse and heal your insides is to eat plenty of fruits and veggies.  Eat them raw or slightly steamed so you get the most nutrients.

3.  Rest & Relaxation

Overtaxing your body with food is stressful.  If you need a buffer day…take it but be sure you’re drinking your water and getting back on track with fruits, vegetables, and movement.

4. Get Back to Your Exercise Routine

Move your body.  Get back in the saddle along with all the other folks serious about their weight loss goals.  You’ll be glad you did! Not up for a full on post-turkey day workout?  Go for a nice 30 minute, stress free, walk outside.
